Extreme Mammals
When you hear “mammal,” you might think of dogs or chimpanzees—but this class of warm-bloodied animals is quite a bit more varied. With more than 5,000 species of creatures, including unfamiliar ones such as scaly pangolins and egg-laying echidnas, there’s more to Mammalia than what you’d find in a zoo. This large-scale exhibition celebrates the diversity of Earth’s vertebrate beasts with reconstructions, such as a diorama showing the Earth’s foliage 50 million years ago, as well as interactive demonstrations that focus on the ancestry of these strange hairy critters. Sun-Sat 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
