This former Boulder resident combines elements of folk, bluegrass, and jazz to create an eclectic mix of styles on her latest album, If the Static Clears. The singer-songwriter’s distinctive tracks draw from personal experience and shared history alike, one recounting the love affair between Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera; another painting a summer scene in Buenos Aires. Featuring guitar, upright bass, and mandolin, Louise’s band puts out Americana vibes that will have you tapping your toes while pondering the lyrics.
