In the first major Colorado exhibition featuring her art, Hung Liu—who was born and lived in China until she immigrated to the United States in 1984—will showcase 15 large-scale paintings as well as a room-size installation. Liu explores the themes of movement and migration in her work, both practically and metaphorically. Explore how personal memory and history interact via Liu’s own relationship with Maoist China, and how moving away from China influenced her fluid work.
