Inspire Arts Week at the Lakewood Arts Center and Gallery
A part of Lakewood’s Inspire Arts Week, these special exhibits give patrons a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process. Watch sculptor Annette Sapp take her stone bison sketch to six-to-eight-inch tall 3-D animals using hammer, chisel, and file to chip away at locally-sourced alabaster. If watching her work makes you curious about artists’ muses, head inside to see, Inspired: Who and What Influenced Our Art?. The personal exhibit is a walled display of paragraphs written by over 15 co-op members that explore the memories and people who helped nurture the creative spark.
