After a two-year hiatus, one of Denver’s quirkiest museums is officially (re-) open for business. Check out the collection’s new digs—featuring the original studio of the museum’s namesake, painter Vance Kirkland, and a chic new space designed by Seattle architect Olson Kundig—and swing by 15 minutes before opening to catch the official ribbon-cutting. Kirkland 2.0 holds about 50 percent more artifacts than the original museum building, so give yourself plenty of time to take in the expanded offerings.
