Enjoy different interpretations of klezmer, a Jewish musical tradition of celebratory instrumental folk music and dance tunes that assimilated elements of American jazz as Eastern European Jews emigrated to the U.S., at this exuberant cultural celebration. Hal Aqua and the Lost Tribe will play their lively brand of klezmer fusion, which mixes traditional Jewish melodies with the danceable grooves of rock, reggae, and hip-hop, while all-female band Tsibele will present an improvised and experimental take. Denver-based rabbi Joe Black, who is known for his guitar virtuosity, soaring voice, and thought-provoking lyrics, will also perform with Boulder-based violinist Sandra Wong. Sat 7 p.m.
