Like other open-air painters, Coloradan Beverly Thomas takes her sketch pad and easel outside. Unlike other outdoor artists, however, she uses broad brush strokes and bold primary colors to capture abstract impressions of nature instead of hyper-representational images. For this solo exhibition, she’ll show off her takes on natural vistas from around the Centennial State, such as Hallett Peak and Ponder Point.
