Meetings in Isolation
Swedish artist Anna Olsson’s vivid textiles tell stories of social injustices. Inspired by her interactions with inmates of Swedish prisons (who she spoke with seeking inspiration for this exhibit), the tapestries depict convey both the vulnerability of isolation and the strength of the spirit through images of the individuals in story-like scenes. At the opening reception, Olsson will discuss the profound differences in her subjects’ lives before, during, and after incarceration. Mon-Sun 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
