Just in time for Halloween, the work of local artists Michelle Lamb and Claudia Roulier will help create this imaginatively dark exhibit that attempts to capture the mystery and nostalgia of going to the circus. Lamb’s use disassembled machine parts and found objects to create pieces such as a hallowed-out carousel horse furnished with clockwork parts (pictured above). And Roulier’s work will include both paintings and assemblage such as a bicycle-tire ferris wheel intended to capture what makes the circus both curious and magical. Be sure to stop by the opening reception in costume this Friday to mingle with the two artists and sip on bourbon-based cocktails from Angel’s Envy Distillery.
