In this collaborative exhibit paintings by renowned mixed-media artist Mark Bradford will be displayed alongside related canvases by the late, great abstract expressionist Clyfford Still. Bradford, inspired by Still’s extensive use of the color black, incorporates the shade across several different mediums, such as photomechanical reproductions, acrylic gel, and wrapping paper, forcing viewers to confront conventional notions of race through his abstract works.
