The Geography of People

303-370-6000

Denver Museum of Nature & Science
2001 Colorado Blvd.
Denver, CO 80205

Science class isn’t just for the kids. And whether you have a Ph.D. or not, adults can also find out how Earth’s geology impacted where humans chose to live and watch the history of human migration unfold onscreen at this two-night class taught by geologist Bob Raynolds. The first night of the program uses the museum’s Science on a Sphere technology, projecting geological landforms and settlement patterns onto a Earth-like sphere that has a six-foot diameter, while the second night moves to the Gates Planetarium for viewing of satellite images and discussion of mankind’s impact on natural resources.
