Experimental art often thrives because of its underground reputation, but this alternative festival is trying to ensure the avant-garde doesn’t go unnoticed. The multi-venue event—packed with a full month’s worth of experimental films, literature readings, and dance performances—will work off of themes inspired by oft-underrepresented groups. Expect art that explores issues of gentrification, the black identity and anti-establishment aesthetics.
