Festoon thyself with flowers: This vivacious celebration of art (and life) is about to get colorful. The spirit of the great Mexican painter Frida Kahlo guides the aesthetic of the exhibit, starting with the opening night party. Costumes are not required, but guests are encouraged to embody Kahlo in their attire—with or without a faux unibrow. The actual display features works from Colorado artists Peggy Short, Mysti Gulsrud, Cyrina Rinkel and Jullian Rosenfeld, who have tried to evoke the painter’s vibrance through their pieces, which include altar pieces, found objects, and wearable items. Fri 6-9 p.m.
