At this thought-provoking exhibition, visitors can experience Gregory Block’s perception of human beings’ place on Earth through a series of international, national, and local maps. Each piece is created with found objects, including aluminum cans and carpet tracks, nailed to a board. The objects are manipulated by scorching and cutting pieces of the cans or tracks to create bodies of water or landforms such as oceans or mountains.
