Marc D. Flink is a seasoned litigator with a depth of experience in commercial and complex litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies spanning diverse areas of practice such as First Amendment and media law, the Colorado Open Records Act, agricultural cooperative law, Indian country jurisdictional issues, the Clean Water Act and Colorado Water Quality Control Act and related environmental issues. Marc is experienced with the Federal Wiretap Act, real estate partition, protection of trade secrets and covenants not to compete, and business disputes. Marc is a thoughtful and passionate advocate for his clients and provides practical, thorough advice throughout representation to most effectively address their needs.
Marc received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Order of the Coif. He has an AV Preeminent listing in Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© in the area of Litigation – First Amendment since 2007 and was named The Best Lawyers in America© Lawyer of the Year (Denver) Litigation – First Amendment 2017. Marc has been a Colorado Super Lawyer since 2006 and a 5280 Top Lawyer 2016 and 2017 Media/First Amendment Law – Litigation. For more than a decade, Marc represented the Rocky Mountain News in First Amendment and media matters until its closure in 2009. Marc was appointed by the Littleton City Council to serve as a member of the Littleton Edwin A. Bemis Library Board from 1997 to 2005. Marc is the Pro Bono Coordinating Partner of BakerHostetler’s Denver office, which in 2015, met its commitment of at least 50 hours pro bono per lawyer as a participant in the Colorado Supreme Court’s Pro Bono Legal Service Commitment and Recognition Program.
