“I don’t know what I’d do without Samaritan House. It’s a very calm environment. They really do help you get back on your feet.”
Jessica, 25, delivered her baby girl after coming to Samaritan House for safety and shelter. Without family support since the age of 16, she needed a safe place to build a new life.
Through Catholic Charities’ network of services, Jessica accessed baby supplies for her newborn, reestablished employment, made plans for quality childcare at one of its early childhood education centers, and helped apply for affordable housing.
At Catholic Charities, we become their extended family. We walk with more than 105,000 men, women, and families every year to help them achieve self-sufficiency and regain their dignity.
“Sometimes it’s hard to ask for help, but I just want to be here for my girl and to provide for her,” Jessica said. “And I needed to see the best in myself.”
Many like Jessica still need help—make a donation online at ccdenver.org/facesofhope.
