Itinerary Details:
Day 1 – Depart U.S.
Depart the United States on your overnight international flight to Portugal.
Day 2 – Arrive Porto / Vila Nova de Gaia / Board Ship
Arrive in Porto and meet your Tour Manager before transferring to Vila Nova de Gaia to board the MS Riviera Rose for your 7-night Douro River Cruise. Enjoy a welcome dinner onboard.

Day 3 – Porto / Régua / Quinta Dinner
Begin the day with a guided city tour of Porto, then enjoy scenic cruising through the beautiful Douro Valley. Upon arrival in Régua, visit Quinta da Pacheca for a wine tasting and dinner at this historic estate. Overnight in Régua.

Day 4 – Régua / Castelo Rodrigo / Vega de Terron
Cruise toward Pocinho in the morning, followed by an afternoon excursion to the 12th-century walled village of Castelo Rodrigo. Explore the charming medieval architecture and take in views of the Spanish border.

Day 5 – Vega de Terron / Salamanca, Spain
Take a full-day motorcoach journey into Spain for a walking tour of Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the university, cathedrals, and Old Town. Enjoy lunch with a traditional flamenco performance and leisure time in Salamanca before returning to the ship.

Day 6 – Quinta Lunch / Pinhão
Cruise along the Douro en route to Pinhão. Enjoy lunch with wine tasting at Quinta da Avessada, known for its moscatel wines. Spend the evening at leisure in the scenic riverside town of Pinhão.

Day 7 – Pinhão / Lamego / Mateus Palace Gardens
Take a morning tour of Lamego, a picturesque town with a famed cathedral and decorative staircase. In the afternoon, visit the landscaped gardens of the iconic Mateus Palace.

Day 8 – Porto / Pick Your Excursion
Cruise toward Porto with a choice of two included excursions: either a late morning tour of Guimarães, known as the birthplace of Portugal, or an afternoon Port Cellar Wine Tasting experience. The evening features a Gala Chef’s Dinner and onboard Folklore Music Show.
