It was a banner ski season in Colorado in terms of snowfall. Beginning about six months ago, big storms piled up upon each other, and mountains like Loveland Ski Area—which saw its best snowfall since 1996—reaped the benefits. Skiers on the I-70 corridor and beyond were making deep turns across Colorado seemingly all season, and even though winter is technically over, some fantastic late-season snowfall has allowed a few mountains to extend their seasons—some through next weekend and others until the end of May.

Here are five mountains that are still buried in spring-time snow and welcoming skiers and riders to enjoy every last bit of bluebird skiing.

Purgatory Ski Resort

Open through May 4

Lifts still spinning: Purgatory Village Express
Access: 30-40 runs, beginner to expert terrain
Park access: Five of Purgatory’s terrain parks are slated to stay open through May
Our recommendation: If you have been waiting all season to try your hand at freestyle, head on over to Purgatory’s Paradise terrain park. Since it’s the first time in history Durango locals (and visitors) can ski into May, the resort is giving away free T-shirts to the first 100 skiers on the slopes, so be sure to arrive early.

Loveland Ski Area

Open through May 5

Lifts still spinning: Chet’s Dream, Lift 2, Lift 4, Lift 6, Ptarmigan, Lift 8, Lift 9, and the Ridge Cat
Access: 83 runs open across Loveland Ski area, ranging from beginner to expert terrain
Bowl access: Bennett’s Bowl, Fire Bowl, Primer Bowl, Patrol Bowl, and Super Bowl
Our recommendation: With sixteen inches of new snow this past week, be sure to check out the new powder on Excelleration and Tempest runs. Plus, Loveland’s free snow cat will be running until closing day, offering access to expert terrain dropping off the Continental Divide.

Mary Jane Base at Winter Park

Open through May 12

Lifts still spinning: Galloping Goose, Panoramic Express, Super Gauge Express, and Sunnyside
Access: 1,336 acres/50-60 runs ranging from intermediate to expert terrain
Bowl access: Mary Jane and Parsenn Bowls
Our recommendation: Wind your way down the steep terrain on Pine Cliffs, then check out the Super Gauge Trail. Also, the ever-popular Parsenn Bowl will be open, so make a trip up the Panoramic Express.

Breckenridge Ski Resort

Open through May 27

Lifts still spinning: Independence SuperChair, Horseshoe Bowl T-Bar, Imperial Express, Zendo, and Kensho
Access: 1000 acres/50-60 runs across Breck’s Peaks 6, 7, and 8
Bowl access: Imperial Bowl, Horseshoe Bowl, and North Bowl
Our recommendation: While there’s no open beginner terrain, there’s still some great intermediate runs, so your whole family can enjoy the spring snow. We recommend Angel’s Rest run on Peak 7 or Déjà Vu on Peak 6.

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area

Open through June 2

Lifts still spinning: Black Mountain Express, Lenawee Mountain, Pallavicini, Zuma, Beavers, and Lazy J Tow, as well as learner lifts and magic carpets
Access: 40-60 runs across A-Basin’s front terrain, back bowl, and uphill terrain
Bowl access: Montezuma Bowl
Our recommendation: Head up the Lenawee Lift and make your way over to the back bowl (we like Independence and Log Roll runs). It’s late in the season, which means fewer crowds and sunny afternoons. If you want to stick to front-side terrain, take a ride down Exhibition.
