Colorado-born Cyrus Nowrasteh, the son of Iranian parents, has completed a new film, “The Stoning of Soraya M.,” which chronicles the story of a young woman stoned to death after being accused of violating morality laws. The film, which arrives as protests spike in Iran following the recent election there, screens Saturday at the Los Angeles Film Festival, writes The New York Times.
