He looks vaguely like Shaggy from the Scooby Doo cartoons, but Michael Alan Kincade, the so-called “Shaggy Bandit,” one of the more prolific local bank robbers in recent years, is singing like a canary to the FBI, according to court documents released Monday. The Denver Post reports that 29-year-old Kincade has admitted to agents that he and his accomplice, 45-year-old Christopher Lee Richardson, took refuge in the Morning Side Trailer Park in Commerce City during the three-month spree in which they allegedly robbed 17 banks in four states, including 14 along the Front Range. The two were arrested last week after a Boulder bank teller noticed Shaggy from FBI alerts. The men were charged Monday (via Longmont’s Daily Times-Call). They face up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines for the robberies if convicted, according to Fox31.
