Bogusky + Bielenberg = a COMMON Cause

By |

It was “only a matter of time” before Alex Bogusky and John Bielenberg found each other in Boulder, Good magazine writes, where they’ve both been spending a lot of time after turning into industry “outsiders.” The former Crispin + Porter advertising guru and global design Project M founder, respectively, have teamed up to form COMMON, a business incubator that focuses on creative communities in order to foster a “new brand of capitalism.” It’s about “transitioning from competitive advantage to collaborative advantage,” according to COMMON’s website, “a brand that is community designed, community owned, and community directed. It is a single open source brand—a living network—for rapidly prototyping many progressive businesses that unleash creativity to solve social problems.”

Bogusky, the brain behind the last hyped Burger King campaign and the B-Cycle bike-sharing program, left Crispin last year to help launch Boulder’s FearLess Cottage with Rob Schuham, head of AMG Marketing. As an ad man, Bogusky also made our 5280 Fifty, a list of the most influential power brokers in the region.
