Wesley Gordon Makes It Cool to Sign on for CU Basketball

By |

Not so long ago, the University of Colorado was a men’s basketball backwater. But first-year coach Tad Boyle and his players have turned that reputation around this year, going 19-12 (8-8 in conference play) and positioning themselves for a possible NCAA Tournament berth. “Colorado is a program that’s going to get better and better,” says Wesley Gordon, a Colorado Springs high school star who announced his commitment to CU this week (Denver Post). Gordon made his decision after watching CU beat Nebraska in front of a packed house in Boulder on Saturday night.

CU will stay on the bubble of March Madness as long as the team does well in the Big 12 Tournament this week (Daily Camera). Meanwhile, both the men’s and women’s teams from the Air Force Academy are preparing for the Mountain West Tournament, even if they don’t have a great shot at the NCAA finals (Colorado Springs Gazette).
