Santa Shop: Gather up the little ones’ abandoned toys and help stock this holiday gift shop. The Action Center, a Jefferson County agency that works to help people achieve self-sufficiency, is accepting donations for its annual Santa Shop, a free-of-charge pop-up where Action Center clients can shop for holiday presents. Last year, the center collected about 24,000 toys that went to 4,000 children. Consider donating a few high-demand toys, like remote-controlled cars, stuffed animals, helmets, or a few Frozen, Toy Story, and Minion items. Until Dec. 18, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon; The Action Center, 8755 W. 14th Ave., Lakewood

Adopt a Family, Teen, or Senior Holiday Gift Drive: GIVE Denver, which provides additional support to kids and families receiving assistance from Denver Human Services, is launching its annual Adopt-A-Family holiday drive.
