If a cast of more than 250 full-length features, shorts, and music videos isn’t enough to keep you entertained from November 12–23 at the Starz Denver Film Festival (5280 broke down a list of seven can’t-miss flicks), then check out some of these sans-screen events happening around town:

Davis Coombe and the Editor’s Art: While the festival hosts many panels, we’re partial to Davis Coombe’s deep dive into the work of a film editor. Coombe is the creative director of Milkhaus, a Denver-based production company, and the editor for Keep on Keepin’ On, a highly anticipated film at this year’s festival. Nov 13, 7 p.m.; UA Pavilions, 500 16th St. Mall, #301

SAG-AFTRA Workshop: The Starz Film Festival isn’t just for fans of cinema. Those hoping to make it in Hollywood can attend this free panel and workshop on the acting industry. The event will discuss everything from headshots and resumes to reels and self-taping auditions. Select audience members will get the chance to participate in a mock audition process and receive feedback on-site from the experts. Nov 16, 11 a.m.; SDFF Sie FilmCenter, 1510 York St.

Reel Social Club Arcade Party: This Friday night event kicks off with a screening of I Am a Knife With Legs, a independent film already garnering cult status on the festival circuit. After the movie, enjoy drinks, eats, dancing, and games while discussing the hilarious absurdity you just watched. Also, don’t miss out on the opening and closing night parties. Nov 21, 7 p.m., SDFF Sie FilmCenter

Receptions: The receptions at this year’s fest are as diverse as the films. An Independent Filmmaker Reception, Women + Film Reception, and International Reception are just three of the options available to festival pass holders and invitees.
