Boulder Students Stage Camp-In

For two days in a row, about 85 Boulder high school students, upset about the election, are camping out at school. Both Rep. Mark Udall (D-CO) and Senator Elect Ken Salazar are sending representatives to speak with them.
The Boulder students say they also want to meet with their superintendent's representatives along with Republican Governor Bill Owens and GOP Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave. Some of them have left telephone messages with Republican leaders. The youngsters are looking for reassurance. They say they're not protesting the election, but rather worry about the national debt, military recruitment in schools and the environment. Brian Martens, a senior, says the students want to know that their futures are not "being destroyed
Will Republican leaders respond like the Dems? They are foolish if they don't. This is a voting bloc ready to sprout, looking for guidance.
