Fielder Tops CultureHaus Bids

Saturday's CultureHaus event at the Walnut Foundry was a smashing success - emphasis on the smashing, since the open bar all night led to a happily sloshy crowd by the time the silent auction closed around 10:30 p.m. Not surprisingly, John Fielder's photo of a golden stand of Aspen trees took the top bidding, selling for nearly $200. KBCO DJ Keefer's photo of a John Coltrane mural was a close second, scoring a $180 bid. Other hot shots: "El Vez for Prez" on the marquis of the Bluebird Theatre, a great fall foliage show of the 16th Street Mall and the D&F Tower, and John Kerry (remember him?) campaigning in Colorado.
