Colorado Military Bases Spared

The Pentagon today announced it will close 33 military bases across the country. None are in Colorado.

Buckley Air Force Base, Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base and Shriver Air Force base all stand to gain, sources said.

Nationally, about 29,000 jobs will be lost. The closures and cuts are expected to save almost $50 billion over the next 20 years.
