There were more than 400 D.U.I. arrests in Colorado this holiday weekend. Many people don't realize the hidden costs of getting a DUI. In addition to legal fees, there are car insurance increases, court fees, fines, alcohol program fees and driver's license reinstatment fees. The total can be $20,000, or more. The message is clear, drinking and driving is not socially acceptable. It's also going to hit you hard in the pocketbook.
