Donna Karan

The Gist: Donna Karan works her modern sense of draping with an earthy color palette accented by blue and green. Featuring: Languid, sexy, asymmetrically draped and tied dresses are the core of the collection and show off a lot of leg and decollete. Wide, gently draped trousers, softly structured jackets, and wrapped mini-skirts paired with tunic-length draped blouses round out the collection. Geometric beading is shown here and there, either around the neckline of a dress or blouse, or at the hem of a skirt. For her finale, Karan sent out two tulle, beaded gowns that are airy and delicate. The "It" Factor For Denver:

For the fashion-forward woman, Karan's liquid dresses are decidedly feminine, sexy, and confident. Look For It Next Spring At: Neiman Marcus, 3030 East First Avenue, 303-329-2600; and Saks Fifth Avenue, Cherry Creek Mall, 2900 East First Avenue, 303-393-6333.
