FILM What: Choke--the story of a sex-addicted theme park guide (Sam Rockwell) who creates elaborate scams to make money for his hospitalized mom (Anjelica Huston)--opens Friday. THEATER/FILM What: Although Rent ended its 12-year stint on Broadway earlier this month, a taping of the final show makes its way to Denver movie theaters this week. Why: This story about young, Manhattan artists and musicians struggling to comprehend AIDS won a Pulitzer, four Tony Awards, and three OBIEs (Off-Broadway Theater Awards).
