After nearly 50 years working on the Up project, we're convinced that Director Michael Apted has an exceptionally serious commitment to his craft. Checking in every seven years, Apted’s series follows the lives of a group of individuals chosen from varying backgrounds and locations in England. The primary goal: to reveal how easily life changes and how each individual has developed since the childhood predictions from the first film of the series. 56 Up picks up on the storylines of the eclectic bunch, and continues the unique documentation of the individuals’ significant life choices in their 56th year of life.
