Cheap Eats

March 1995

I know what you're thinking: Cheap eats equals greasy spoons and Mexican joints. Au contraire! After all, you don't need my help when it comes to down-and-dirty dining. But if you're looking to s-t-r-e-t-c-h those increasingly thin dining dollars with out sacrificing your digestive tract, read on.

I've assembled two lists. The first includes my favorite places where just about everything is a deal. The second reveals some fantastic bargains that are to be found even at Denver's higher-priced eateries

Before we begin, let me point out that I've intentionallly left out restaurants from the Ethnic Triangle - Mexican, Chinese, and cheap-o Italian. Denver has plenty of these (see "Around the World in 1,000 Calories," for some other ethnic treats), many of which are well worth your support.
