As snow flew in Denver this past winter, the right-field upper-deck area at Coors Field was getting a makeover. The top level was stripped of 3,500 seats to make way for The Rooftop: 38,000 square feet with two bars, a CHUBurger (featuring beef from Oskar Blues’ Hops & Heifers Farm in Longmont), VIP cabanas, roving concessions, and an all-star view of the field, Denver’s skyline, and the mountains. That famous row of purple-hued chairs designating an elevation of, yes, 5,280 feet will become a 52-foot-80-inch-long bar with 52 taps. Here’s hoping that same commitment to good product finds its way onto the diamond. Rooftop tickets are $14 to $16 each and include a $6 concession voucher.
