Rest up Friday night, because you'll need lots of energy for the full-day festivities at Saturday's Winter Festival in Evergreen. Activities include: an ice-fishing derby, ice-biking race, dogsled rides, ice skating, and a ski and snowboard rail jam competition.

For the 17th year, the place to celebrate our nation's independence is at a Colorado Rapids home game. The evening will begin with a community festival featuring climbing walls, zip lines, face painting, mechanical bull riding, live music from That Eighties Band, a live performance from the Salida Circus, and of course, tailgating.

For more than 60 years, Aspen has hosted a winter celebration of its Nordic culture. Enjoy four days worth of exciting festivities, including a parade, canine fashion show, slopeside activities, and fireworks. Thu-Sun times vary.
