Comic Book Fans Gather for Cowtown Alternative Comix Festival

comixLocal comic-strip creators and graphic novelists turn the conventional book reading on its head today. Instead of the requisite author talk followed by a Q&A, the artists are hosting a fair, the Cowtown Alternative Comix Festival, featuring illustrators (John Porcellino, pictured here, and Felix Tannenbaum), comic-book exhibits, and panels that cover wide-ranging subjects like how to syndicate a comic strip or “Robots, Love, and Allegory.”

Sat, June 27. 1-5 p.m. Free
