The last time the Denver Nuggets made it to the National Basketball Association Western Conference Finals was 1985. They’re headed back there after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 124-110 last night, under the steady guidance of hometown hero Chauncey Billups and Carmelo Anthony, who has truly emerged as a superstar this season, writes The Denver Post. Both players were also honored yesterday after being named to the All-NBA 3rd team (via CBS4).
The Nuggets will face either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Houston Rockets, who play game six of their series tonight. L.A. leads the series 3-2.
