A bill is making its way through the Colorado legislature that would suspend the driver’s license of adults who give alcohol to minors, even if a vehicle is not involved. What’s the connection? According to the bill’s sponsor,
Rep. Jim Kerr, R-Littleton, said Wednesday the punishment is warranted, even if a vehicle was not used to purchase liquor, because binge drinking on college campuses has become a serious problem. He said lawmakers have to do more to limit access by minors to alcohol.
