GABF came and went, leaving us with hangovers, indestructible tasting glasses, and some home state pride: Colorado brewers won more gold medals than any other state.
The state’s powerhouse breweries dominated (New Belgium, Rock Bottom, and Odell Brewing Company all took home gold medals), but many smaller breweries did as well, giving us a reason to extend Beer Week a little while longer. Bonus: Colorado teams also placed first and third in the Pro-Am competition (amateur home brewers are paired with brewmasters).
That's only $1 per issue!
With so many winners this year, we picked a few that you can’t pass up:
Upslope Pumpkin Ale, Upslope Brewing, Boulder
Berliner Weisse, Crabtree Brewing Company, Greeley
Graham Cracker Porter, Denver Beer Company, Denver
Friek, Odell Brewing Company, Fort Collins
Gluten Free Lemon Pale, Strange Brewing Company, Denver
Take a look at the complete list to see if your favorite breweries took home medals.
