Earlier this afternoon, the Rocky Mountain News issued the following bulletin via email to thousands of its subscribers:

Rep. Bob Udall will not run for Colorado governor in 2006. Instead, he will run for re-election and prepare for a U.S. Senate run in 2008.

We don’t know who Bob is, but we’re guessing that Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper is mighty glad that both he and Mark Udall have decided not to run for governor.
