Today’s Denver Post reports in its print edition that Rep. Diana DeGette has been named House Deputy Minority Whip. That’s a pretty big promotion for the Denver congresswoman, but I can’t find the news anywhere online. If you find a link, please post it in the comments. The article (on page 2A) of the paper says:
DeGette will help rally the party’s rank and file on important votes, participate in leadership meetings and join the party’s Steering and Policy Committee, which helps Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Md., craft party policy and make committee assignments.”
