Peteybird, with its pink ice cream sandwich–peddling bikes, is back. After hibernating for the winter, the cycles will again take to the streets Friday, April 4, to hand out free ice cream sandwiches. Coinciding with the Colorado Rockies‘ opening day, the two bikes will pedal around Coors Field between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. giving out treats to the first 1,000 people who flag them down. (After the freebies are gone, sandwiches will go for $2 each.)
This spring’s flavor lineup includes standbys such as graham cracker and key lime, chocolate and mint chocolate chip, and sugar and strawberry, plus the newly created sugar and strawberry-jalapeño, and wasabi ginger and brown sugar carrot.
That's only $1 per issue!
Peteybird is coy about the exact routes but the bikes will send out “clues” via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on game day.
Tip: Word is the bikes will definitely stop at Great Divide, Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew, Epic Brewing, and Black Shirt Brewing.
