Looking for something new to do in the Pikes Peak region? Instead of hitting the same old trail, register for a Saddle Up-Pedal Down tour ($110). Starting May 1 (or earlier, depending on weather), Pikes Peak Bike Tours is partnering with the Stables at the Broadmoor for this half-day excursion open to all skill levels. You’ll start with a guided hour-long horseback ride along a remote three-mile loop through the Pike National Forest. Then you’ll get a lift to the start of Gold Camp Road, where mountain bikes await for a self-guided 18-mile ride around hairpin turns and through rock tunnels. It’s summer fun at its best.
