Nukes and Tuition Out—for Now: After a “suspenseful” five-and-a-half hours of testimony, yesterday the state House killed the latest bill proposing to give a form of in-state tuition to certain undocumented immigrant students (Education News Colorado). In Pueblo, meanwhile, “massive and vocal opposition” to the prospect of a nuclear-energy plant led county commissioners to unanimously oppose rezoning property for the purpose of building the plant (Gazette).
