Four ways to do well by doing good—and having some fun while you’re at it—this week.

Connect for Kids: Join participants in what is touted as “the world’s largest Connect Four tournament.” Your $20 entry fee covers two free beers, free appetizers, drink specials, and the nostalgia that comes with playing the game. Proceeds benefit Environmental Learning for Kids, a Denver nonprofit that uses science, environmental education, and outdoor experiences to develop underserved youth into leaders. Thu 5:30-9 p.m.; Tavern Downtown

Runway for a Reason: The Urban Nights outdoor fashion show brings the style of more than a dozen different designers to Colorado’s longest urban runway. Project Runway All Stars winner Mondo Guerra will host and share a collection exclusively designed for the night. Proceeds benefit Urban Peak, a nonprofit that helps homeless and at-risk youth in Denver. Fri 7 p.m.; Mile High Station

Walk Like MADD: Get on your feet to do something about drunk driving in our community. Participate with other teams and participants in Walk Like MADD—a 5K walk to honor victims of alcohol-related accidents. The walk will benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Sat 8:30 a.m.; Sloan Lake Park

Backyard Bash: Chefs, brewers, and distillers convene for an all-you-can-eat block party. Chefs from The Post Brewing Company, Zolo, Lucky’s Bakehouse & Creamery and many more will bring their culinary talents to the party, with drinks provided by beverage purveyors like Dulce Vida Organic Tequila and Wonderland Brewing Co. Get a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes including Denver Broncos tickets or a GoPro. The block party benefits the Autism Society of Boulder County. Sun 2-6 p.m.; The Post Brewing Company
