The Denver Newspaper Agency, which until today published the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News, is sending a letter to advertisers that aims to calm their fears over tomorrow’s shutdown of the Rocky.
Several interesting points emerge from the memo (click link for pdf):
That's only $1 per issue!
- The letter promises ad rates won’t change for most advertisers.
- Rocky Mountain News subscribers will now receive the Denver Post, apparently whether they want it or not.
- And perhaps most newsworthy, the memo mentions ad rates in the Sunday and Saturday editions. The Post stopped publishing a Saturday edition when the Joint Operating Agreement with the Rocky went into effect in 2001. Does this signal the return of the Saturday Post?
Update (3:52 p.m.): Post confirms Saturday edition.
