She may be known as “the sweater girl” in the outdoor and ski industries, but Rhonda Swenson’s real passion is merging Colorado’s various lifestyles—outdoor, fashion, and play—into one clothing collection. Swenson’s latest Boulder-based venture is Krimson Klover, a line of comfortable, stylish, high-quality knitwear made from natural fiber yarns like washable merino wool and pima cotton.
This fall, Krimson Klover becomes a full-blown collection, featuring bold colors mixed with graphic patterns (some of which were inspired by Andean textiles from Peru) alongside solid staples for underpinnings and accessories, including tights and scarves. The result is a versatile group of pieces that can easily go from the mountain resort to the big city with some small wardrobe tweaks. My pick: The playful Isadora skirt (pictured) is great for the high country, but you could layer it in Denver by pairing it with black leggings and a long-sleeve T-shirt or fitted black turtleneck. Complete the look with your favorite black leather biker jacket.
That's only $1 per issue!
