Several notable multi-sport professional athletes, including Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders, and Bo Jackson, have wowed us over the years. And according to ESPN, we may see former Denver Bronco Brandon Marshall join those ranks, perhaps even with the Denver Nuggets.
“There’s not going to be any football,” says Marshall, who was a star high school basketball player, referring to the looming labor stoppage in the NFL in 2011 (recap via SB Nation Houston).

“If there’s a lockout, I have to find a job. I figure the Nuggets will be a better choice because of the welcome-home cheer I’ll get—a couple boos at first. I’m gonna get with a basketball coach and get to work, prepare for the lockout.”
Meanwhile, The Denver Post’s Dave Krieger takes a run at Nuggets front-office strongman Bret Bearup, alleging that the Nuggets are dysfunctional and listless, with the “adviser” holding most of the cards in the team’s power structure. Bearup is a friend and confidant to team owner Stan Kroenke and, according to Krieger, is the reason the team will never have a true general manager to make effective decisions and give the team real direction.
