Fresh Jazz and Crisp Vinyl Series: Orenda, August 26
If you’re a fan of jazz, Latin, and funk, come to Orenda’s five-piece instrumental set to hear all your favorite genres combined into one unique sound. The Denver-based group draws influences from Afro-Cuban rhythms and blends drum, conga, guitar, and saxophone melodies with funky synthesizer beats to create its own style of improvisational dance music. Before and after Orenda’s performance, DJ David B. Smith (owner of the David B. Smith Gallery in LoDo) will spin tracks from his collection of vintage vinyl records. Fri 7 p.m. Dikeou Collection 1615 California St., Ste. 515, 303-623-3001. Free.
Give One Year of 5280 for just $16.
