What’s one to do with an extra day in the year? Have a drink, of course. We’ve compiled some of the most compelling Leap Day specials in town to help you make the most of the extra hours.

The Get-It-While-You-Can Cocktail at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse

Del Frisco’s is offering a one-day-only cocktail in honor of Leap Day. It’s called the Magis, which means “more” in Latin. (Technically, it refers to the idea of doing more for Christ, but, for in this case, it’s referring to one more day in the year.) The drink includes gin, sweet vermouth, Grand Marnier, a splash of fresh lemon juice, and a lemon twist garnish. Hurry over to try this sipper today, or you’ll have to wait another four years.

Rare Beer Day at Freshcraft

To commemorate this rare holiday, Freshcraft is tapping a keg of very rare beer: California-based Russian River Brewing Company’s Pliny The Younger. The sibling to the fabled Pliny the Elder, this highly sought after triple India pale ale offers loads of hoppy flavor. Nab one of these tasty brews and you’ll also be supporting a good cause: For every Pliny purchased, $1 will be donated to local non-profit Sense of Security to help breast cancer patients. The tapping starts at 6 p.m., but you’d be wise to arrive early to secure your ticket.

The Birthday Blowout at Punch Bowl Social

If your birthday is February 29, we’ve (finally) got some good news for you. Baker’s Punch Bowl Social rewards you with one free hour of bowling, snazzy shoes included. You’re also entitled to up to six “Old Man” cans of the PBR, Budweiser, and Rolling Rock variety.

Power Hour(s) at the West End Tavern

Tick off each hour of this extra day with a different drink special—all priced at just $2.29. Start the day off slow at noon with nonalcoholic strawberry lemonade. Once 1 p.m. rolls around, pop a PBR tall boy. Pace yourself for 5 o’clock Jim Beam shots and 6 o’clock sangrias. The best deal of the day, however, happens at 3 p.m., when the West End releases its very rare 17-year-old single-barrel Pappy Van Winkle bourbon whiskey for $29 a pour. Bonus: A free entrée for leap day babies.

Epic Beer for an Epic Day at Epic Brewing Denver Brewery and Tap Room

Epic Brewing Company is celebrating leap day by officially releasing their Son of a Baptist imperial stout. As the “smaller” rendition of the popular Big Bad Baptist imperial stout, this flavorful brew is packed with same bold coffee and cacao nib flavors, but clocks in at a more manageable 8 percent ABV. Head to the tap room the enjoy this libation on tap (either regular or nitro) or pick up a few bottles to take home. Plus, when you buy six bottles, you’ll receive a free carrier bag.
