Drink specials are hard to find on the weekend, which is precisely the time when we want them. But I recently found an excellent deal.
The Hornet has some of the best Saturday drink specials I’ve seen in town, and they’re not just affordable—they also feature local ingredients. Their menu of cocktails made with spirits from Colorado’s craft distilleries are half-priced on Saturdays.
Give One Year of 5280 for just $16.
The Mules over Moscow (regularly $7) is a popular choice, featuring Goat Vodka from Peach Street Distillers mixed with ginger liqueur, fresh lime, cucumber, and ginger beer. The Painkiller (regularly $8) features Montanya Platino Light Rum from Montanya Distillers along with cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and nutmeg.
For those of you hoping to pair a beer with your football game, all Colorado microbrews on tap are on special for $3 on Saturdays as well.
